Thoughts: Vince may be a little more efficient offensively but McGrady when needed can drop more points than Carter, in terms of iso, Tmac clearly has the edge on that, overall McGrady in those years was the better scorer.

Comments: Vince does have the edge in jumpshots, but Tmac was the better shooter from midrange, the better finisher driving down the lane, to counteract that, Carter clearly has the edge on corner 3s, but McGrady in the restricted area was superior. To  make that up Vince Carter at the top of the key 3s he was much greater, he did have a higher true shooting % as well. It’s really close but McGrady might get the edge in this category.

Thoughts: As shown Vince C allowed less 2nd chance ppg of his opponent, however Tmac allowed less fastbreak ppg of his opponent. Carter’s defensive rating overall was lower which is a good thing, McGrady was a bit better at stealing, but not at shot blocking. Not by a lot but Air Canada was the better defender.

Comments: Carter played 28 less mins in crunch time and scored more pts, grabbed more rebounds, shot 2 % better, however Tmac  made more clutch 3s, dished out more asts in the clutch, turned it over less and shot better on crunch time 3s. Might be a tie on this one.
